my perfect satuday started with my travel to the east of singapore with dwee.

first stop: victoria hall!
sun and sea, friends and home, all in victoria hall!

east coast park!

cam whore-ing session..

lunch at food court near victoria hall. all time favourite roti john and sambal stingray. and cravings for the past few weeks, carrot cake.

ntu poster girl lita came and join us for lunch!

walked towards east coast's mcdonalds, wanting to rent bicycles.. made pit stops along the way to take photos at the lake, breakwater and with some sandcastles.

supposed to form 'VJC', but our smart dentist friend had her 'J' at the wrong direction. so just formed a VJ in the end.

sandcastles!

the grass is greener on our side! :P

ice cream makes me happy!

was so engrossed in taking pictures till we realize tat it was already 3.30pm. not much time left for cycling. so we decided to walk to VJ for a visit.

on the overhead bridge and siglap park connector..

VJ! =)

nothing without labour, impossible is nothing..

treehouse! =)

katong laksa after shopping at parkway!

a perfect saturday after a bad week at work! one more week till the end of a sucky internship! cheers!

it's been almost a month since i last updated i think! june just flew by. have been busy and tired after work. which explains the lack of update. but june was a month of birthdays! haha. few birthdays of close ones. cylysce, mingli, peklyn, younger bro, elder sis and eddie!

cylysce and her ice cream, from swensons where we celebrated her bday.

me, mingli and daphne. the only 3 ppl from s41 at mingli's surprise party organized by her secondary sch friends.

the bday gal who couldn't stop smiling the whole night! =)

close up picture of the lovely cake that her friends ordered. it's custom made! super pretty!

went back home last weekend on my sis's bday! =) it was a short buy worthwhile trip. had a bday party for my sis. invited relatives and friends. met up with a lot of relatives that i haven't seen for ages. it's always amazing/amusing to meet up with relatives. there're just too many of them. can count in hundreds. and the family size is still growing. having more and more nieces and nephews. which means i'm getting old. haha. it's kinda scary.

was in time to visit huilian's exhibition at equatorial hotel, in KL. glad that i made it cause i missed the previous one at national library!

top left, some random picture tat i took. cool parking skills huh! tat's how msians park at a crowded street with limited parking space. i'm pretty impressed. haha.
top right, huilian's A level art piece exhibited during the exhibition.

sis and her friends who came

another highlight in june was the picnic at botanical gardens that i had with the kids from haven home. our 3rd outing after the east coast cycling outing and chinese new year visiting session. thankful for the bunch of dedicated mentors who helped out in planning and execution of the outing. the kids were super uncontrollable. there were about 20 kids cause the home asked us to bring along the extra 8 who weren't in the program but would not have activities in the home. and we were rather short of manpower. but everything turned out quite well i hope. we had a treasure hunt and lunch after the treasure hunt. weather was just nice for a picnic. i made konyaku jellies for the picnic! and the kids finished it! haha. wat an achievement. the jellies was made after an initial failed attempt. had to rush to a supermarket at 10pm to get somemore jelly powder the night before the picnic. haha.
