Su san was telling eddie the other day that eunice was coming over to sg on first week of jan. but when i asked eunice, she said, "She must have got the dates wrong. i'm not going to sg on first week of jan..."

Then on thurs night, i got a sms from san to meet up for dinner on fri night, 7.30pm. So i was thinking, why not. since i might be ending sets early on fri.

And on fri, i was down at comm hall for sets. saw jungseong. then told him that i'll be meeting su san for dinner. and he said he won't mind joining us. i was running late. so i called su san to tell her to change the time to 8 instead of 7.30. and she was okay with 8pm, cause she's ON HER WAY.

about 7.40pm. i realised i got 3 missed calls from dipta. and i thought it was quite weird to get calls from dipta. haven't seen him the whole hols. then a sms from jungseong saying he can't join me and su san for dinner cause he was gonna have dinner with his blk ppl. then another call from dipta. i answered. he was like, "yeanching, hurry up. go to your hall's lobby.. hurry up okayy.." and he hung up. when i rushed over to the lobby, guess who i saw? eunice au. and the first thing she said was, "i didn't bluff u. i was coming over on the 2nd week of jan. not first." it was a pleasant surprise. so the dinner date was with eunice. not su san. kena cheated by su san. haha.

and so we went for dinner at chinatown! then went to changi airport. to send mingyun off. we took the last train to the airport. and stayed there till 4am for mingyun to come. to save on cab fare. haha. the 4 hrs at airport was spent visiting terminal 1, 2, and 3; taking silly pictures; attempting to watch hairspray but fell asleep for a while; and simply chatting.

and so, mingyun flew off too. and i made her promise that she'll send postcards from different cities that she visited in the states. haha.

after sending mingyun off, eunice and I went to east coast to catch the sunrise. and as usual, didn't really get to see much of sunrise. just a change in the colour of the sky. nevertheless, it was worth the visit to east coast. it's been so long since i last sat down at east coast to enjoy the breeze and the sound of waves.

i didn't manage to stay at the airport till vidia transit. was too sleepy by then. but was glad that she called me from the airport. i miss my roomie so much. haven't seen her for close to 2 yrs. am quite sad that i didn't manage to meet up with her cause she was at indo most of the time. boo. hope i'll get to see her next year. and seriously hope that the next time all of us can meet up together. the 6 of us who used to gather in my room all the time.

hmms, my 3 close friends flew to 3 different cities in the states at 3 different time. :(

eunice, me, peklyn, esther

yeanching and peklyn

the tired twins and pek who spent the whole night at the airport

after a long day at floorball training, sets and mambo on wed, i still made my way to the airport at 4am to send the pig off. i'm so gonna miss her. she's gonna be gone for exchange for about 6 months. can't go slack in her room when i'm bored. can't play with her pigs. can't kidnap her mowgli. :( no one there to cook together on weekends too. sobz. left with the twins and huilian. mun also flying off soon in feb.

had dinner with minyun and xinyi. it was sort of a farewell dinner for minyun who was gonna leave for exchange. won't see her for abt 5-6 months. we went to spizza at harbour front centre. the place was nice, and the pizza was good. wonder why it's not crowded at all. good place to go to if u're at vivo.

celebrated tianglim's 22nd bday party last thursday. it was a 'surprise' party organized by su san. reminds me of the days back in victoria hall. those birthday celebrations. so typical. first cut cake, then dunk chernyih, then dunk the birthday boy and lastly clean up. this time we have more food and booze instead of just having a birthday cake. those were really the days.

the few of us from victoria hall. breakfast club members. haha.

the tj ppl on the left and the vj ppl on the right.

it was a great way to end 2007 and to welcome 2008. met up with the bunch of msians at brewerkz yesterday.. was the earliest to reach clarke quay with jungseong. then we went to walk around central. they have very pretty christmas lights there. eddie and su san came and join us after that.
pretty lights at central..

picture with cousin eddie who looked extra handsome for his hot date later that night. haha.

so we were at brewerkz super early. reached there about 7pm when it was still bright. we got a nice seat, next to the river. beautiful view. and we thought, "okay, great place to hang out to wait for countdown and fireworks. dun need to squeeze with the crowd.." so we sat there to wait for the rest to join us..

su san and jungseong looking bored while waiting..

we ordered few mugs of beer and finger food while waiting and took pictures of the nice view before it got dark..

yeanching and su san..

tianglim, chernyih and stanley joined us pretty late.. but we went on with our celebration. it's always great to hang out with them. a night with good food, good beer, and good company.

from left to right: jungseong, chernyih, tianglim, stanley, me, su san

we asked the waiter whether we would be able to see the fireworks from our seat..and he said that we can't see. only can hear. and we didn't believe him. and true enough, at 12am, we heard fireworks sound. only to realize that the fireworks were behind a building. i can't believe it. the entire fireworks was blocked by one huge building.. we could only see some reflections from the window of a nearby building. *sobz* nevertheless, we had complimentary beer from the house and also free party packs.. so fun.

quote of the day, "i can't believe that the whole table of people got high on beer.."

after being slapped with a s$350 bill we hurried to catch the last train so that we can save a bit of money on cab fares. haha.
