Took a bus down to spore on thurs.. left home at 5.40am for Eunice and esther’s place.. their father fetched me to bangsar, the place where we boarded the bus.. we reached there ard 6.40am.. which is way to early for the 7.30am bus tt we were supposed to take.. so we sat down at the mamak stall nearby for ‘breakfast’.. their brother, Joshua, went along with us.. he’s also gg to nus with his twin sisters. So 3 of them gonna be in the same uni..

Reached sg ard 12.30pm.. had lunch then went to lucky plaza to look for dwee.. we went shopping! Last minute shopping for great Singapore sale.. wheee.. bought a lot of stuff.. feel so guilty.. went to my aunt’s office at beach rd to collect my letters.. got my matriculation package.. met eunice for dinner.. cindy joined us for a while..

Later that night we went back to our room at lucky plaza.. cindy stayed with her mum 2 floors above us but we asked her to come to our room.. gave cindy her belated bday present.. then we were trying to make friendship band.. dunno whether dwee managed to complete hers or not.. hahha.. we were also painting our nails.. we miss everyone else… alice, vidia and lita.. it used to be 6 of us.. now left with me, cin and lita in sg.. sobz..

The next morning went for my qualifying English test.. it was on global warming and renewable sources of energy.. I’m just hoping tt I can pass the test so I dun need to take English modules.. sigh.. went to sheares after the test to hand up my forms.. and I met teck chiew.. we’re staying at the same block.. at least I know someone.. haha.. dun feel so lost.. and I was looking at the notice board.. they have the pictures of the committee members in the hall.. saw this picture of a guy who looked rather familiar.. when I saw the name I was super shocked.. it was arbishek (ok, I think I spelt it wrongly.. ) he was the Indian scholar fr tj who used to stay in dunman… got to know him through arkanksha.. played bridge together when we were confined after getting caught by mr ang for coming back late.. haha.. and yes, no more curfew in uni.. wheee…
Took the 4.30pm bus back to kl.. yup, tt was the end of my 1.5 days in sg.. reached home at 11pm.. slept early tt night.. was so tired of traveling..

Next day, on sat.. woke up early.. went for the alternative camp organized by BRATs.. departed from UTAR campus in PJ to some farm in negeri sembilan.. the farm was beautiful.. it’s a fruit farm.. and there was a lake in the farm.. we had a lot of activities the whole day.. the facilitators were very fun and nice ppl.. but I felt so over-aged in the camp.. I’m one of the very few participants who’s alr 19 yrs old.. the rest are like 16 yrs old.. most of them still in secondary sch.. I found out tt some facilitators are even younger than me.. there were 2 facilitators who were only 18.. oh well.. the facies (tt’s wat they call the facilitators.. ) are a bunch of interesting ppl.. they were mainly BRATs members.. one of them was a vj for astro’s hits.tv. she hosts quite a lot of local tv shows also.. and she’s pretty.. she also have a column at The Star paper in metro section.. there were few facies who’re working with The Star.. so cool.. oh, one of the facies just graduated fr NUS.. and she was saying, ‘to the girl who’s gg to NUS, good luck to you..’ well, she say tt I’ll understand wat she means when I’m in NUS.. haha.. hope it won’t be as bad as it sounds..

We had a lot of interesting activities throughout the 1.5 days camp.. we had station games.. and we were supposed to travel to our different stations blindfolded.. and imagine walking blindfolded in a group in the farm.. u can hear facies saying, ‘ok, be careful.. there’s a durian tree ahead of u.. so bend down a bit so your head won’t hit the durians..’, ‘there’s a drain in front.. take a bigger step..’ , ‘we’re gg down on a steep slope.. dun fall..’ , ‘dun step on dog shit / chicken shit..’ , ‘dun knock into the rubbish bin next to you’ etc etc..

For dinner, we were supposed to catch our own fishes.. 2 of my grp members went fishing.. another 2 of us had to get stuff to marinate the fish to bbq, find banana leaves to wrap the fish, then the rest of us had to kill, clean, wash, marinate then bbq the fish.. it was nice to have fresh fish for dinner, although our fish ended up being too salty.. haha.. luckily we had other food for dinner.. uncle Andrew, the owner of the farm, prepared lamb chop and chicken wings for us to bbq.. so yummy..

Another activity during the camp was to built a tower with only paper and straws.. we weren’t given any other materials but we were asked to use our imagination.. so our grp came up with quite a brilliant idea.. we had the tallest guy in our grp.. so he was part of our tower. So our aim was just to built a low, but stable tower for him to hold it up.. with only paper and straws, the only thing that came up to my mind was to fold boxes to make the base.. our tower must be ‘earthquake’ proof and must not topple when the ‘wind’ blows.. during judging, the facies went ard every grp’s tower and jump next to the tower.. after jumping, they blow the tower.. every other grp’s tower topple, except for ours.. whee.. so we were the winner for the tower building competition..

The facies formed a network among the participants of the camp. We were each assigned to a ‘mentor’.. and the mentors gave us their e-mails.. we’re supposed to keep in touch with them and to update them abt our whereabouts.. I think it’s good as they bothered to keep in touch with us.. usually after camps everyone will be back to their ordinary lives and forget bout each other.. yup, I guess I’ll drop my mentor a mail sometime next week when I’m settled down in s’pore.. oh, my mentor is an engineer.. haha.. he was trying to psycho ppl into engineering.. haha, I’ll be a future engineer ( I hope) but we’re on different field lar.. he’s a civil engineer.. I’m in chemical engineering.. haha..

I definitely nv regret signing up for the camp.. but it would’ve been better if the camp is longer.. oh wells.. nvm, better than nothing.. I shall upload the pictures tt I took in the camp when I have time.. for the next few days I’ll be busy with packing.. oh no, I have a mini mountain of stuff in my room to pack.. ahh.. will take quite some time for me to sort out my things before putting them into boxes.. hope everything can fit in my dad’s car.. also hope tt I can finish packing by sat..
